Today, we learn about Cheng I Shih and Julia Bulette - two old-timey sex workers who did very different things with their loot. We’ll talk about floating brothels, sex work on the American frontier,  and ask if either of these queens might have aligned with the branches of feminism we talked about in episode 1.

The concept of feminism is something that's often brought up in arguments both for and against the sex industry. Today, we’ll learn about a few of the different branches of feminism and their attitudes toward the industry,  talk about which ones are most and least compatible with advocating for sex worker rights, and we’ll try and debunk a few of the arguments some kinds of feminists might make against sex workers.
