Discouragement | 8 Principles We Can Learn from Paul

How should we deal with discouragement and depression as believers?
The Lord has encouraging words for those who are struggling. In this episode, Brody walks through discouragement in the life of Paul and 8 principles we can learn from it. The darkness of sin and this fallen world will sometimes wear us down.
When we’re in these seasons, we need to be looking to Christ and find strength in his Word. God is with you. Let’s fight for our joy and peace when we’re in the midst of hardships.
Acts 17-18Lamentations 3:21-268 Principles from Paul in Acts 18
God will often use our hardships, experiences and difficulties to encourage others or help them through hard times.Don’t sit around. Do something productive. The most faithful thing you and I can do is preach Jesus to others.Discouragement often comes on the heels of a great move of God.The darkness of sin and the world will sometimes wear you down, weary you and discourage you. The Lord is with you, will never leave you, and will give you strength and courage. I need fellowship. I need a word from the Lord. Please leave a review on Apple or Spotify to help improve No Sanity Required and help others grow in their faith.

How To Parent According To Scripture

How To Parent According To Scripture

How can we as parents disciple and train our children according to scripture?
In this episode, Brody shares some thoughts from Proverbs 22:6 and how we can raise our children faithfully. Children are controlled by their sinful nature and at times their enabling parents. Their discipleship as Christ-followers should be our number one priority.
Let’s lead by example and show them what it looks like to follow the Lord.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Mountaintops & Valleys of Doubt

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Mountaintops & Valleys of Doubt

The day-to-day Christian life is not a mountaintop experience. Life is messy and circumstances can cause us to doubt God. When doubt attacks our faith we need to keep pressing into the Lord.
In this episode Brody walks through the transfiguration of Jesus, the chaos that meets them when they get off the mountain, and how we should fight doubt. Listen as we consider 5 facets of God’s revelation that confirm Jesus’ glory.

Let’s submit our doubt to the Lord and let it grow us closer to Christ.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful pt. 2

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful pt. 2

Sin is deceptive and deceitful. It can cause us to turn away from the Lord.
In this episode, Brody continues his conversation about Demas and walks through 7 things we must guard against to remain faithful to the end. Demas traded faithfulness to the Lord for a love of the world. Do not forsake the Gospel for what the world offers.
Let’s hold fast, live with a conviction of the Holy Spirit, and stay faithful.

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful

Beyond the Flannelgraph | Demas, Drifting, & How to Stay Faithful

How do we live faithfully for the Lord and prevent drifting away?
In this episode, Brody discusses the life of Demas, why people tend to drift away, and how we can stay faithful. Demas was once a co-laborer with Paul on the mission field, but abandoned Paul when he was needed most.
Scripture tells us Demas thought the world offered him something greater than what the Lord provided. People are often influenced by the latest movement or ideology, but these movements don’t last.
However, the Gospel is unchanging. It is eternal and outlasts cultural movements. Let’s hold fast to Jesus and pursue him faithfully.

Take a Day off Get Mauled by a Lion!

I love the SWO and NSR Podcast! This has been a vital tool in my growth and walk with God since the first season. Thank you for covering very hard topics and issues weekly! NSR and the SWO Podcast are trusted sources that I recommend to others.

Thank you for being a part of my walk with Jesus

Snowbird has become something I look forward to. Be Strong, iron on iron, and the marriage conference are great. I have never heard anyone preach/teach there that I didn’t enjoy. I love the NSR, SWO ,and Red Oak podcast in between my visits. I know I am going to hear biblical based sermons and lessons when I am there and on the podcast. I love my home church and the people in it but Snowbird gives me that something extra I need. Anytime I am there is a charge in my walk with Christ whether I realize I need it or not. Thank you to Snowbird and all the people who make it what it is. God bless each of you.
