Today marks day one of staff training for SWO24! Our staff will be arriving throughout the day and we will worship together tonight. To kick off this summer, Brody walks through our mission statement and gives a preview of what staff training will consist of. 
This episode is all about why we do what we do — and the story behind it. 
Please pray for our staff and pray for the students that will be coming this summer. Pray that the Lord will encourage and equip our Summer Staff for the weeks ahead. And pray that the Lord will prepare the hearts and minds of the students.

How should we deal with discouragement and depression as believers?
The Lord has encouraging words for those who are struggling. In this episode, Brody walks through discouragement in the life of Paul and 8 principles we can learn from it. The darkness of sin and this fallen world will sometimes wear us down. 
When we’re in these seasons, we need to be looking to Christ and find strength in his Word. God is with you. Let’s fight for our joy and peace when we’re in the midst of hardships.

How can we as parents disciple and train our children according to scripture?
In this episode, Brody shares some thoughts from Proverbs 22:6 and how we can raise our children faithfully. Children are controlled by their sinful nature and at times their enabling parents. Their discipleship as Christ-followers should be our number one priority.
Let’s lead by example and show them what it looks like to follow the Lord.

The day-to-day Christian life is not a mountaintop experience. Life is messy and circumstances can cause us to doubt God. When doubt attacks our faith we need to keep pressing into the Lord.
In this episode Brody walks through the transfiguration of Jesus, the chaos that meets them when they get off the mountain, and how we should fight doubt. Listen as we consider 5 facets of God’s revelation that confirm Jesus’ glory.

How do we live faithfully for the Lord and prevent drifting away?
In this episode, Brody discusses the life of Demas, why people tend to drift away, and how we can stay faithful. Demas was once a co-laborer with Paul on the mission field, but abandoned Paul when he was needed most. 
Scripture tells us Demas thought the world offered him something greater than what the Lord provided. People are often influenced by the latest movement or ideology, but these movements don’t last. 
However, the Gospel is unchanging. It is eternal and outlasts cultural movements. Let’s hold fast to Jesus and pursue him faithfully.
