    • Health & Fitness

This week’s guest graduated with honors from The College of William and Mary
with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1999. He then spent 6 years traveling
and exploring the Western United States and New Zealand where he thru-hiked
the 2,700 mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, explored the New
Zealand backcountry, and spent 2 years skiing and climbing in Wyoming's Teton
Mountains outside of Jackson Hole. This experience was the catalyst for his
interest in performance nutrition & his appreciation for the importance of
connecting with the nature. He then earned his master’s in health science and
physician assistant degree and practiced as a PA in cardiology for 4 years…not
satisfied with the standard of healthcare, he went back to school and earned his
MD degree at the University of Arizona.  While there, he studied with physicians
from the Center for Integrative Medicine, including Dr. Andrew Weil, New York
Times bestselling author and a pioneer of the integrative medicine movement.  In
2018, he completed my training through the Institute for Functional Medicine and
is a certified functional medicine practitioner (IFMCP). With all the free time he
obviously has, he loves to surf, slackline, practice meditation and mindful food
preparation. Welcome to our show, the most interesting man in the world, Dr.
Paul Saladino.
