Not Your Average Netizens
The OGs of K-pop and Korean entertainment podcasts since 2014. This is a safe space for open and mature discussions about K-pop stuff we love, hate, or love to hate. No sugar coating here, but we hope you can relate to our views even if you disagree with some of them. Above all, we want to make Kpop fun and have fun while doing it! We are made up of netizens from all over the world and we gather weekly in our spare time. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don’t, and we hope that you find yourself in each of our voices.
Would have been close to five stars

Would have been close to five stars but lately it’s turned into a BTS podcast lately. Not that I would generally mind but I started to listen because of the variety of topics. But every topic turns into a BTS conversation.
Mean spirited & ill - informed

First listen and they attacked a young idol without knowing the details of the event they were describing or the context or anything about him or even how to pronounce his name. Purely mean- spirited & made a big deal out of nothing. Not for me sorry
If you like hot takes and poor production...

It’s a shame there aren’t more k-pop podcasts out there because you end up having to settle for things like NYAN. As much as they like to call out other so-called netizens for their lack of ability to use Google and YouTube, they lack the ability to look up things like facts before forming a position on a topic, get names correct, and watch videos or even listening to actual songs before forming an opinion. It’s clear they have their favorites, and that is fine. It’s just too bad that they can’t seem to give any critical insight except to compare anyone they either haven’t personally heard of or don’t favor with a group from their own personal playlist. “It doesn’t do it for me,” isn’t critique, its laziness. I enjoy sass and cutting criticism, it just needs to come from a place where I can respect where you’re coming from. Production-wise, the echoing is unforgivable: get some headphones, people. Maybe one with a mic, because I should not hear what’s going on the room while you’re using your computer’s built-in audio. I imagine they’ll benefit from playing their recording back before releasing it, too—they’ll then hear some of their vocal nuisances. For example, when they talk about a controversy, the host can’t seem... to talk... in more... than two... words before pausing... as if she is unsure of her position and weary of the blowback. And they must be aware of the targets on their backs because they spend half the time trashing fans themselves, for their taste, their reactivity, and for their negativity. If they believe that reactive trashing online is the norm with k-pop fandoms, perhaps they should change the podcast name: Completely Average Netizens.
I can do without the umms from the main host

I like the show... However, I wish instead of just one person being brief/prepared about a topic...that the other co-hosts' would have a basic knowledge about what's going on ... Like (Tim?) who is my fave goes off on these rants, but sometimes he is wrong about facts...but yet you still like his voice and need to hear him speak...overall the show is worth a listen
