Nourished by the Word; Refined to Love | 1 Peter 2:1-3

Just as a child needs the right nutrients to grow physically, Christians need spiritual nourishment to grow in faith. In 1 Peter 2:1-3, Peter urges those who have been born again to 'long for the pure milk of the Word,' reminding us that our spiritual growth is directly connected to our intake of God's Word.

Big Idea: Your growth in salvation is nourished by the Word of God and manifests in love toward others.

1. Your spiritual growth is dependent on God’s Word, so be nourished by the Word (2-3)
2. Your spiritual growth becomes apparent in your love, so put away the sin (1)
