November Is National Entrepreneurship Month

Cheri Hill Show

President Obama proclaimed the 19th of November 2010 National Entrepreneur’s Day. It’s been celebrated ever since on the third Tuesday in November. This month-long celebration highlights the vital role entrepreneurs play in the economy. It highlights the creative minds and risk-takers who drive economic growth through their innovative businesses transforming ideas into reality, boosting local economies, creating job opportunities, fostering community development and national prosperity. The proclamation aims to encourage new business ventures and support existing small businesses (those 33 million companies with fewer than 500 employees, which translates to 99.9% of all US businesses are small businesses), fostering a culture of creativity and self-reliance and underscores the idea that anyone, regardless of background, can pursue entrepreneurial dreams and contribute to economic and social development.
