I was born and raised in Japan🇯🇵. I moved to the U.S. to become an NP when I was 25 years old after working as a registered nurse in Japan✈️ English is my second language, and becoming an NP in the U.S. as a foreign-born international student wasn’t easy.     What’s it like to be an emergency NP?

    In this episode, I welcomed Dr. Terry Bartmus, who is triple certified as a family nurse practitioner, emergency nurse practitioner, and psych mental health nurse practitioner. Dr Bartmus has 15 years of experience in healthcare and has been an emergency nurse practitioner for over 10 years. She is also an associate professor at Touro University in Nevada and mentors future healthcare professionals.
