Fantastic behind-the-scenes views of the zoo.

Excellent production quality, and a great diversity of topics to learn about! The host interviews a variety of zoo staff that include zookeepers that allow for an in-depth and personal view on certain types of animals, but you also get to listen to other staff like collection managers, hospital staff, educators, and infrastructure staff to learn a little about what it's like to run a zoo. I highly recommend this podcast for any age group, and is a great family podcast to listen to as well.

A voice for all AZA facilities across the country

For an aspring zoo professional, this podcast has been invaluable. Being able to hear from a variety of different roles and how they work together is very interesting. I've worked at 4 different AZA facilities and it's interesting to hear that though they do many things similarly, there are nuances that make each unique. I recommend this podcast to anyone that enjoys visiting zoos, those that would like to work for a zoo, or even those that feel zoos are unethical. You will learn a lot about the inner workings and will hopefully gain a new perspective. I hope to someday visit your facility and maybe even join the team. Keep them coming!
