Patrick, I finally heard what was the significance of the Western Empire falling. It was falling. It was changing. Every time I read of heard of the Western Empire falling I thought: “Here is the end of the Roman Empire”. As you so eloquently said it, it was only one of the Empires which fell, i.e. the Western part. Your imagined scenario with imagined characters clarified what had happened. Thank you for that.

I’ve heard only the Introductory Episode so far (dated 2017), and already have a few thoughts, (particularly regarding how the music is being used): - What I like: • It is done by a Real Historian, (whose PhD is on one of the subjects he’ll be covering. • He uses clean Language; • He doesn’t sound “professorial,” or condescending. • He doesn’t sound as if he’s simply reading it off, from a script. — - What I don’t like: • How he’s handling the Music, over his voice, and choice of pieces of music itself. Other than that, so far, I’ll keep listening, until I can no longer take the intense music in the background.
