Teaching Theatre

Teaching Theatre, a new podcast series from HowlRound Theatre Commons, examines the challenges facing theatre training programs post-pandemic. Theatre departments are reevaluating the way they approach teaching and asking big questions as they consider how to support their students. In addition, many programs have begun the important work of creating more inclusive programming while reimagining the canon. Each episode invites theatre educators and practitioners to interrogate relevant topics–like collaboration and work ethic–while offering up ideas, strategies, and solutions that can be incorporated into programs and classrooms.

In this week’s episode, host Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder talks with Padraic Lillis, artistic director of the Farm Theatre and Jennifer Goff, professor at Centre College, about the collaborative process.
