In 'One Minute Remaining' I speak with inmates serving lengthy prison sentences for a range of different crimes. From arson to robbery, attempted murder and even murder itself and everything in between.
I'm not here to try and prove them innocent or guilty, what I am here to do is allow them the chance to tell their stories. We'll look at the case's against them and allow them to tell us their accounts of the events that lead up to their incarceration.

The murdered lottery winner - Dorice Moore Part 1

The murdered lottery winner - Dorice Moore Part 1

Welcome to episode one of 'One minute remaining' - Today we start the story of Dorice Moore and Abraham Lee Shakespeare, a story that has layer after layer but that is nothing short of mind blowing.
I first contacted Dorice more than four years ago after reading about her story and we've been chatting on and off ever since. Dorice was charged and convicted for the murder of Abraham Lee Shakespear more than twelve years ago, a crime that she has always maintained she is innocent of. Dorice has done a number of interviews over the years with different journalists and programs but from what I've seen and heard she's never really been given the opportunity to tell her side of the story without prejudice from the interviewer.
I am not here to prove her innocent or guilty I am simply here to allow her to tell her side of the story, a story that has fascinated and confused me the more I have delved into it.
This is the first of many chats I will have with Dorice during this season as we not only hear the story from her side but also follow her journey as she fights to clear her name,

Changed my life

Jack,

Your podcast has changed my life. I’m looking into starting college in the fall to study behavioral science.
I am fascinated by our system and the amount of corruption that is within.

I'm a binger, and so glad I stumbled into this pod late in the game. I'm hooked! Just shared with a friend, and recommended to anyone.

Five stars BUT..

As a long time FEIRCE advocate for everything innocence, I’m taken aback by the mere thought of putting anything behind a pay wall that involves helping these innocent men & women find freedom. I absolutely LOVE the show, love what Jack is doing & intend to continue listening, but im absolutely saddened at this. I’m a member & hold patreon accounts to many content creators in this space, so I’m definitely not suggesting you shouldn’t have a pay wall of sorts, but in specific reference to ANY& ALL CALLS TO ACTION IN THE NAME OF INNOCENCE TO HOPEFULLY ACHIEVE FREEDOM/JUSTICE, NEVER MIND TO POTENTIALLY STOP AN UPCOMING EXECUTION, FOR GODS SAKE, DO NOT DEMAND PAYMENT IN ORDER TO HEAR CONTENT PERTAINING TO SUCH! It’s simply put , tacky & distasteful. I understand early listening etc., but some things have to be made available to everyone immediately in order to make positive change. Suggestions to a solution would be to put interviews of the freed behind that paywall AFTER THE FACT & early listening to everything else, etc.!
Other than this huge fumble, I give this show five thousand stars & love every ounce of each episode. Plz consider this review!!!! I’m that person who most likely knew of the person your show is about prior to any creators coverage, but I think back to when I wasn’t this person & would have waited until the next episode in hopes that person is maybe been freed or spared vs signing the petition or calling ppl to shake things up, not everyone else is though! Anyway my soapbox is super sudsy so I’ll get off of it now! Don’t stop doing what your doing, otherwise!!!! Uur amazing!
