During this attempt, they begin experiencing a bizarre set of events that they believe may be connected to a group they heard rumors about called "The Chicken Whackers".

Episode 78: The Chicken Whackers Pt. 1
A man named Luke originally reached out to the show on behalf of his younger brother. His brother Keegan left home to hitchhike and travel the country, which eventually turned into living on the street for years. When the family finally got Keegan off the street, he had many stories, but there was one in particular that he was nervous and afraid to discuss, involving a mysterious group called "The Chicken Whackers".
This story was very different from our normal submissions, which is why we liked it. This first part is mostly Keegan's backstory, what it's like living on the street, and how dangerous it can be.

Longtime First Time
The Chicken Whacker series has really solidified what a gem this pod is. I’ve been listening since Otherworld’s debut & I’ve enjoyed all of the episodes (Eilish Poe’s series is also a standout), even subscribe to the Patreon. Jack’s ability to bring humanity to a paranormal podcast is impressive. Most of the time they’re just scary stories told in between ads for mattresses, but Otherworld lets people tell their stories without a larger narrative hand that guides them or judges them. Great job, love seeing the evolution.

Why
Look I respect the hard work as much as anyone, but if you focused on trimming the content down to the paranormal (ie. relevant) parts of these stories instead of dragging them out until they become filler content clogging my feed (ep. 78), youd have FAR less salty people like me coming in and writing 1-star reviews for podcasts they used to love.
Been a listener since episode 6 and every time stuff like the "Chicken Mongler Episode 1 (Contains Nothing Paranormal BTW Haha)" pops up I get kinda mad at how far this project has dropped off.
