Overcoming a Decade Long Eating Disorder with James Roffey

Own Your Journey

Join Jack Walton for the first episode in the Own Your Journey Podcast. To kick start season 1 Jack is joined by James Roffey, a personal trainer and mental health coach, also known as 'the mental health PT'. Between the ages of 17-27 James lived with an eating disorder, something that almost cost him his life, alongside relationships with his family and friends. Now, James works to help others who might be suffering from disordered eating, and has worked with many charities and public services to spread his message and tell his story, alongside a growing social media presence of over 75,000 followers on Instagram alone. During the conversation James tells Jack about his childhood, and the significant events in his teenage years that led to his decade long battle with firstly anorexia, and then bulimia. This is a story of struggle, but also hope. James is a shining example and an inspiration for many. I hope you enjoy the conversation.
