077 Mindful Art and Navigating Social Media Anonymously with Inky Meditations

In this episode, Ros and Laura sit down with Anonymous Creator Inky Meditations, an artist who has captivated audiences on both TikTok and Instagram with mesmerizing, mindful ink paintings.  What began as a creative challenge has transformed into a social media sensation, with 104K followers on Instagram and an impressive 715K on TikTok. Inky Meditations' tutorial-style videos have become a source of inspiration for aspiring artists worldwide, showcasing the calming and meditative process of creating art with ink and water. In this conversation, Inky shares the story behind their social media success, detailing how the combination of Instagram and TikTok allowed them to reach a massive audience. Despite the growing online presence, the motivation behind Inky's art has always been rooted in personal fulfillment - rather than monetary gain. We dive into the markers of success for Inky Meditations, where meaningful engagement and the impact on viewers matter more than financial rewards. Beyond the anonymous Inky Meditations account, Inky has had a diverse career, participating in various art projects and ventures under their “regular” artist name. The episode explores the duality of being both a well-known anonymous creator and a multifaceted artist with a broad range of experiences. Inky also opens up about an exciting new chapter—their journey into authorship. Thanks to their online success, Inky was presented with the opportunity to write a book. We discuss the creative process behind this venture, the challenges, and what it’s like to translate the meditative world of ink painting into a physical book. Join us as we explore the fascinating world of social media, creativity, and how an anonymous artist can make a meaningful impact through mindful art.   We hope that you enjoy this episode!
