    In 2003, a declassified document released by the CIA detailed the observation of the Gateway Tapes, a process created by The Monroe Institute in the 1980s. The series of guided meditations used hemi-sync technology to synchronize the brain's hemispheres, facilitating altered states of consciousness. Participants reported experiences ranging from deep relaxation and heightened creativity to out-of-body experiences and expanded awareness.     This week on Hidden in the Shadows we are going international to a place often referred to as Bulgaria’s Area 51. Join us on a chilling journey to Tsarichina, a quiet Bulgarian village that became the epicenter of one of the most mysterious military operations in history. On December 6th, 1990, a large force arrived under the command of Colonel Tzvetko Kanev, igniting local curiosity and fear. Was it a hunt for the lost treasure of Tsar Samuel, or something far more sinister? As advanced scientists, paranormal researchers, and psychics converged on the site, strange and unsettling events plagued the excavation. Radios failed, whispers filled the telephone lines, and UFO sightings skyrocketed. Despite ominous warnings from psychics like Marina Naplatanov and Eli Loginova, who sensed ancient entities and dangerous forces, the excavation pressed on. What they uncovered was beyond comprehension: a spiral tunnel with strange symbols, a pulsating blue slab, and a horrifying entity known as the Sentinel.     Curious to know how our Halloween week of investigating went? This episode delves exactly into that! In this episode, we're talking about the strangest things that happened to us on location at the park and at a special place we investigated called Lake Waccamaw. For the week of Halloween, we had a guest from Florida on investigations with us. You might know her as Julie! You may have heard her on a previous episode of Hidden In The Shadows with Isaac, as well as seen her on our Instagram lives. She came up to investigate some interesting spots for Halloween week. First up, we dive into the many experiences we had at the park, from seeing strange lights to an eerie trance meditation Estes method that Megan does. We then road tripped to Lake Waccamaw State Park in North Carolina to connect with the spirits around.
