The Alley: DC's 8th and H Case

Following Catherine Fuller's murder in DC in 1984, eight young Black men were sentenced to life in prison. Now, 40 years after they were convicted, the accused men—for the first time, in their own words—recount their decades-long saga with the American criminal justice system that failed them. Listeners will also hear from attorneys, law enforcement, journalists, and criminal reform advocates to help shine a light on the flaws and biases of our legal system still present today. Vital Work

This podcast makes clear that even after wrongfully convicted people serve time for crimes they didn’t commit, their punishments continue in the outside world. Hoping not only for the presidential pardon of these men of incredible intregity, but for all of those who have suffered similar fates. Thank you for this work!

The story is interesting but man, the narrator is doing everything not to make it sound that way. Was this narrated by AI?

I’m not too sure why this podcast is not more well known. It is an incredibly heartbreaking story, and more people need to be aware of it. I truly hope these men are able to live a comfortable life filled with love and joy.
