THA #92 - J.L. Hancock is the pen name of Jim Harvey who was born in Albuquerque, NM. He has worked as a martial arts instructor, lifeguard, foreign missionary, and river guide. In 2002, he enlisted in the Navy and spent twenty years as a cryptologist. He currently works as a Technology Consultant and President of Xiphos Innovations, LLC.
During his time in the military, Jim toiled away in the dark corners of the government intelligence communities, learned two Asian languages, and eventually conducted over one hundred combat operations with special operations forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. During the last six years of his career, he worked as the senior enlisted advisor over future concepts and innovation for the Navy special operations community where he became a well-known subject matter expert in unmanned systems, 5G, and artificial intelligence.
He is presently writing a series and a standalone novel.
The Voodoo series involves a skilled military technician facing the evolving global threat of an international arms race for artificial intelligence.

THA #89 - Tina Guiler was hired as a firefighter by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, in Miami, FL, in 1999. In 2003, she achieved her pumper driver certification and became a paramedic. Guiler was promoted to lieutenant in 2004. She worked on trucks for 18 years and then bid into the fire prevention division in 2017. Guiler now works as a fire inspector, inspecting all new construction buildings in Miami. She also is part of the department’s peer support team. In 2015, she started Triple F (Fierce Female Firefighters). In 2018, Guiler was diagnosed with breast cancer that resulted from her firefighting duties. After going through chemotherapy, surgeries and radiation treatments, she now is cancer free and now an entrepreneur.

THA episode #88 Randy Sutton has spent most of his adult life in service to his communities. A police officer and detective in Princeton, New Jersey for 10 years, Randy retired as a lieutenant from active-duty law enforcement after serving the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 23 years. Randy has the distinction of being one of the most highly decorated police officers in department history, with awards for valor, community service and multiple life-saves. He is the author of three bestselling books - True Blue: Police Stories by Those Who Have Lived Them; A Cop's Life, and True Blue: To Protect and Serve. Randy hosts a nationally syndicated radio show, Blue Lives Radio, is the founder of the non-profit organization, The Wounded Blue, and speaks internationally on a variety of law enforcement related topics.
