PCICS Podcast Episode 108: Cardiac Arrest Prevention
Join host Lillian Su, MD (Phoenix Children's Hospital) as she interviews Christine Riley, NP, CPNP-AC, PhD (Children's National Healthcare System) about building infrastructure in teams and systems to help prevent cardiac arrest in our most fragile CVICU patients. She discusses early work in DC in the cardiac arrest prevention bundle initially designed as a post cardiopulmonary bypass bundle and how sustainable success only came when the entire team was engaged in the process, particularly the crucial role of the bedside nurse. She also discusses her PhD work on overwhelming stress states and their role in cardiac arrest.
