Black Nationalism - White Supremacy

Shalom family, I truly enjoyed the discussion about our people & hearing some of the solutions to be worked on ...’cause we still have enough problems to solve. A solution I would love to offer is: When you look in the mirror & you see yourself, come to know yourself, accept yourself & begin to love yourself. We can’t begin to love one another if we don’t love ourselves first. Look within & know you are divine! Then reach back & take your brothers / sisters hand... & help them realize they are loved too. Yes, somebody like me, cares about you. Start today! Shalom/ Peace

Knowledge is Power

I’m a new listener and so far I have learned a great deal. I appreciate the discussions are solution-focused and uplifting, instead of problem-centered. The podcast is clear and the volume is excellent. I appreciate the honesty and Although I do not agree with all of the views, I do respect them and it causes me to process and research what I disagree. I would love to know when and how I can listen live and possible call in. Great show!

divides in the community

i see y’all talked about class/economic divide in the black community as well as gender divide but there also needs to be an honest discussion about homophobia and transphobia in our communities, and the way that that’s connected to the hatred of femininity and womanhood. y’all need to talk about the way that the bible, amongst all these white religious systems of thought taught us to hate, kick out, beat, kill and slander queer and trans black people in our communities. we need to talk about the way so many black people point fingers at queer and trans black folks as the poison in our communities instead of loving queer and trans black folks and pointing them fingers at the white establishment. we need to talk about the divide that those forms of hate create and how that keeps us from coming together stronger as well. we need to give more priority to the voices of black trans women who have been fierce warriors in our struggles forever but who have been erased from our history, silenced, and left out of the picture. power to all black people includes queer and trans black folx as well.

i think there should also be a discussion about joining forces with native american folx in Amerikkka, since they typically face just as much if not worse than we do. our histories and fates are bound together..
