Permission to Burn Your Manual is a podcast hosted by Cathi Whaley MD, a physician who recovered from career and life burnout starting with burning her manual--the book that defined her personal expectations of self and how to secure approval, acceptance, love, and connection.

How do we know what we’re capable of if we are only defining ourselves by the manual we create from the evidence of the past?

It’s time for us to just go and be the person we want to be in the most expansive sense both inside and outside of our careers, families, etc. If you are ready, join me and let me be your guide. Let's burn your manual and forge a path to the life you choose.

Episode 38: Believing New Things: "The World Needs What You Have to Offer"

Episode 38: Believing New Things: "The World Needs What You Have to Offer"

In this episode, we will explore how to believe new things. You may think that cultivating a new belief is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, but that's a good thing. The discomfort stems from cognitive dissonance which is a sign you are well on your way to cultivating that new belief.

Believing new things requires the following:

    1) Recognizing the old belief and desiring to unlearn it

    2) Identifying the new belief you want to cultivate

    3) Preparing for the obstacles

I can't think of a better time to believe new things than at the start of the year. If you agree, tune-in to this episode to get started on your way.

Found a coach!

Been listening for a while now (don’t typically leave reviews - especially since Apple Podcasts isn’t my default podcatcher)… appreciate what Cathi says so much I reached out and am now doing one-on-one coaching with her. Insights and value galore. 11/10 definitely recommend 👍

Down to earth, relatable, and practical!

An an entrepreneur, listening to this podcast has been SO helpful in giving me simple, actionable ways to change my mindset and actually create the goals and dream life that I want. Dr. Cathi is relatable, real, and I absolutely love how much she simplifies and breaks down mindset work and belief work. If you want to achieve your goals and make your dream life a reality (on YOUR own terms), you must listen to this podcast!!!

She is AMAZING!!

I found Dr. Cathi Whaley frankly by accident and exactly the right time for me. I am not one that needs things sugar coated and even on our first meeting she didn’t sugar coat anything and had me figured out pretty quickly. She has had me dig deeper than any therapist had. Coaching has been much better for me than therapy. I absolutely love her, her perspective and her ability to call you out without really calling you out but making you realize it yourself.
