Philosophy Bakes Bread, Radio Show & Podcast
Philosophy Bakes Bread is a radio show and podcast that showcases the importance of philosophy for everyday life and for leadership. The saying goes that "philosophy bakes no bread." We disagree and co-hosts Dr. Eric Thomas Weber and Dr. Anthony Cashio invite engaging philosophers as guests for interviews about various ideas and conflicts that matter to people in real life, beyond the academy.
Philosophy DOES Bake Bread!

As a man with Cerebral Palsy who has been an independent researcher in Philosophy for eight years, the episodes on Disability were fantastic and I am currently listening to the episode on mass incarceration. Philosophy Bakes Bread is a testament both to the pertinence of public philosophy as well as its breadth of concerns. A worthwhile listen if there ever was one.

I’m a recent college grad transitioning from the so-called “ivory tower” to the “real world” (there’s a bread crumb for ya!) and have greatly enjoyed the food for thought offered by PBB! I didn’t study philosophy outside of my university’s core curriculum, but PBB has given me space to think about the questions raised in those few classes more deeply. I’ve also learned a lot about contemporary philosophers that I wasn’t aware of previously. I wish I had found this podcast earlier!
Very enjoyable and informative

What an entertaining and thoughtful show! I love hearing about the lives of philosophers and the interesting things they think outside of the classroom. The hosts, Dr. Eric Weber and Dr. Anthony Cashio, are engaging and humorous. Their easy enthusiasm for philosophy is infectious. Most importantly, though, the conversations reveal the ways in which philosophy is not just helpful, but also necessary to bettering our society.
