Pick Me Up
Pick Me Up is a podcast about Lyft drivers who are chasing big dreams both on and off the road. Each episode, we’ll meet one of them to find out where they’re coming from. And then, we’ll give them a little — pick me up — to help them get to where they’re going. Pick Me Up is a production of Lyft and Gimlet Creative, hosted by Mariah Smith.

I love talking to my Lyft drivers so it is interesting to hear their motives and larger goals. Excited for the next episode!
LYFT IS SCAM

I know for sure LYFT, has “so called” better reputation than UBER. But is just as CORRUPT, and SCAMMING GIG EVER. They’re just taking advantage of that reputation BUT there both the same. They take Advantage of drivers, they rig the code and the more they learn , the more they lobbying and buying and bribing regulators and senators in DC. By the way a PODCAST, where they pickup a woman (I have nothing against her anyway) who is a minority into the drivers community . 76% of drivers are immigrants or minority’s in race in the U.S. Go deep and you’ll find who they really are. Just a bunch of Getty pigs exploring people , making them drive 90 hours a week to make a decent salary. Don’t trust them.
Love it!

Only presents one side of driving

Driving for Lyft is NOT easy. I just reached my 2,500th ride. There are certainly some drivers out there with well over 10,000 rides logged. For every 9 customers who can “Pick Me Up” after I pick them up, there will be 1 who will “Bring Me Down” ... way down. It’s not just a matter of needing “thick skin” to drive for Lyft - or perhaps any ride share / hold any customer service position - it’s also a matter of kindness. The rating system will never help driver morale. There is no such thing as a constant 5 star rating. One week I’ll be at 5, yes, and the next I’ll be at 4.7, and back to 5 again. It is always in flux. But it’s not my service or kindness towards the riders that is in flux - I, too, am a rider! - it’s the personalities of the riders that are in flux. San Francisco Bay Area is a competitive landscape that has attracted or turned many callused. The trick is not letting the bad experiences on Lyft do the same. I hope the podcast will begin to also share the difficult sides to driving for Lyft, and offer words of encouragement for drivers with respect to these stories.
