    Talk'n WCW #35: Harlem Heat

    Talk'n WCW #35: Harlem Heat

Presenting: The LAST Talk'n WCW! That's right, the rumors and innuendos are true. For various reasons, as you will hear in full transparency, the time has come to wrap up the show. We're making every effort to go out on a high note, however, by paying tribute to WCW's most decorated tag team: Harlem Heat! First up, an energetic Nitro opener against frequent rivals with their freshly-won World Tag Team Championship at stake. Then, a surprisingly competitive contest pitting the Heat against a main event tag team and taking them to the limit. Finally, we send the show out in style by way of a turbulent tornado match for the ages, which only the commentary trio of Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, and Dusty Rhodes may have possibly loved more. All that and Sherri too! Whether they were turning in reliably strong TV performances week after week, mixing it up in the midcard with some of the wildest PPV brawls, or holding their own against the biggest stars of the day, Booker T and Stevie Ray unquestionably raised the roof on tag team wrestling in the '90s! Jenny, Tim, and Greg extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of the listeners who have supported us over the years. We have received nothing but encouragement and positive feedback along the way, so it is with extremely mixed emotions that we bid you farewell. Signing off, for now if not forever, this has been Talk'n WCW.

    Through the Looking Glass #32

TAG TEAMS...BACK AGAIN! (No, not the podcast...we wish).
Join Scott & Dave as they go back through the alternate worlds to highlight tag team scenarios:
-WHAT IF the WWF did a Crockett Cup-type tag team tournament in the tag-heavy year of 1989?
-WHAT IF the Legion of Doom vs. Demolition feud, well didn't suck?
So sit back and enjoy the tag team ride...Through the Looking Glass!

Renewed my love for wrestling

When I moved in 2012, I was looking for shows to listen to. I found this show and I have been hooked ever since. These podcasts have had me go back and watch shows I had never seen before. They have a great community as well. Great podcast and even better people.

Smart, geeky fun

I'm pretty much just listening to the reviews of classic WWF events—I even skip their general commentary in the middle of each episode—but it's great stuff (for a fan of classic WWF, of course). JT, Scott, and all of their guests are intelligent, thoughtful, and entertainingly analytical. You can say they take this stuff too seriously, but that's the point, and it works for me.

Different takes

Shows like Psychology is Dead and Military Industrial Suplex bring different takes and cover different topics than pretty much anyone else in the over-crowded wrestling podcast scene. Also a huge fan of the PPV reaction shows with Zellner and Brother Devon Hales. On top of that, coverage of old promotions and material that you don’t get anywhere else (aside from the recent Lapsed Fan WCCW series).
