    Ep. #278: November 25-December 1, 2007 with Lenny Leonard

Kris & David are joined by Lenny Leonard (@WWNLennyLeonard) to discuss the week that was November 25-December 1, 2007, a Patreon pick. Lenny is here specifically for an extended Ring of Honor section, which is one of the best we've ever done. We talk about the "Man Up" pay-per-view event that premiered during our week (it was taped in September) in detail, as well as the full lay of the land for the promotion at that time. We go down the matches and talk about the big angles and happenings from the show plus the house shows that weekend as well. We also go over all the shows in Japan, and there were a *lot*, including the first BTS appearance of GUTS WORLD, plus Cibernetico catching fire (literally) at AAA Guerra de Titanes, great matches and workers in CMLL, all sorts of U.S. and Canadian indie happenings featuring current stars and office staff, before bringing it home with WWE. There, we have Ric Flair returning to Raw in Charlotte to kick off his retirement storyline, Teddy Long returning to SmackDown after after a hiatus to sell the heart attack angle, and much more. This is a tremendous show here, folks, so listen now!!!!

Kris & David are joined by Dave Prazak (@DavePrazak) as we discuss All Japan Women’s Big Egg Wrestling Universe super show as part of this week's Between the Sheets. This deserved its own section because of how long the card was, as well as how important a show it was. Dave is one of the most qualified people to do this segment justice and he killed it here, as we went match by match going over all the big happenings on the show, including Akira Hokuto's "retirement” after winning the V-Top tournament, Bull Nakano winning the WWF Women's Title from Alundra Blayze in the co-main event slot, the "shooting matches,” just how great Aja Kong vs. Manami Toyota was, what should've been done in the tournament, and much more as we expound on the greatness of all of the women involved. This was a great piece of audio, folks, so listen to it!!!!!

Cover 2 Cover Ep. #17: The Most Awesome Human Machine of Destruction on God's Green Earth

Cover 2 Cover Ep. #17: The Most Awesome Human Machine of Destruction on God's Green Earth

Kris Zellner & Rob Naylor are back for yet another episode of Cover 2 Cover, where on this episode, we go back to the 1980's and pore over the January 1987 issue of Wrestling Power magazine…which was edited by 21-year-old Paul Heyman. We talk about all the news in the wrestling world during July 1986— which was when that issue was written—including Dusty Rhodes winning the NWA Title, the Midnight Rockers vs. Buddy Rose & Doug Somers feud, and so much more. We also have Paul Heyman writing about Bam Bam Bigelow & Larry Sharpe, a Wrestling Power writer being "assaulted" by D.C. Drake, Paul Heyman going one-on-one with Ric Flair...allegedly....and LETTERS TO THE EDITOR. This was a total blast to do, and we think you will love it as well!!!!

    Ep. #275: November 6, 1999

Kris & David are guestless this week was we discuss the DAY that was November 6, 1999. Yes, one day....you will understand why when you listen to the show. This was a Patreon-requested show that Pete Fusco put on the board, so if you want to be a Patron and have a chance to pick a week yourself, then visit Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets ( http://www.patreon.com/betweenthesheets ) to find out how you can do that.

We talk about the infamous Doug Gilbert shoot promo on Memphis Power Pro Wrestling, going over the full month of buildup to the incident so you get the full context of why it happened. In addition to all of the relevant promo clips, we play Doug's thoughts from his shoot interview DVD many years later. We also talk about the 100 greatest matches of Keiji Mutoh’s career, all kinds of results from around the world, plus Mick Foley's book shattering records and much more. This was a short show—by our standards, at least—but an extremely fun one, as well, so check it out!!!

HitmanTVcam ,

Kris is great. Bix....well

Bixenspan is easily the most annoying wrestling podcaster there is. Don’t know how Zellner hasn’t completely ripped Bix a new one yet through his constant interruptions and dork clarifications that usually lead to no new pertinent info.

Barry90909090 ,

Listened until May 30th

That was when redneck Kris went SJW and virginal Bix said looting was OK because the blacks are hunted by police. Bix, you’ll always be a virgin. Kris, you lost a lot of listeners.

Get rid of Bix please ,please, please.

Pretty please, can you get rid of Bix, please.
