Martha Mitchell Just the Gist

The woman who told the world the truth about the Watergate scandal before anyone else, but her story sounded so crazy that nobody believed her. Now a major TV series starring Julia Roberts called 'Gaslit', Martha Mitchell was the wife of an important man in President Nixon's administration, which meant she knew too much, and the White House wanted to shut her up. But Martha was right about everything, and the way she was treated ended up in psychologists naming 'The Martha Mitchell Effect' after her, which is basically an official form of gaslighting. (Yes of course this ep includes a mini Just The Gist of what Watergate is. We got you Gisteners.)
