I was 9 years old in 1974 and the “schlock block” was a hilarious (and slightly scary) trip down memory lane. I remember all those cringeworthy songs. Interestingly, near the end of the hideous “Having My Baby,” I swear there was a reference to abortion that mercifully went over my head in childhood. It’s something like “you didn’t have to keep it, could have swept it away.” Please tell me I didn’t actually hear that...
