Unfathomably Brilliant
22/06/2018
I started listening to this show after a shout-out on the Unartiste Podcast, coming in with a positive expectations, which have since been far exceeded. Technically sound, well balanced in terms of audio quality and an amazing outro (I haven’t stopped jamming to this Traffic Jam song in my apartment ever since I heard it - I swear my neighbors hate me), and an even more outstanding hosts! I haven’t heard a more cohesive crew since The Read (another black podcast that has helped me through trying times) and their subjects of discussion subvert the standards and norms of Ghanaian society. What also immensely impresses me about this show is the poignancy, perceptiveness and knowledgeable takes on the current state (as well as conditions) of Society, their relation to it, and how lesser desired aspects of it could be remedied in a well-reasoned, coherent manner. As a feminist, it pleases me immensely to know that these African women of color take hold of the reins of Ghana’s future, steering it into a much brighter, much more equal and enjoyable future for all. I apologize for the long review, but sometimes facts deserve to be written thoroughly. Please keep doing what you’re doing Roommates; I aspire to teach your lessons to whomever I can 💛✨ ~ Jam
