Non-celebrity podcast - thank goodness

Refreshing to listen to a non-celebrity podcast....as if celebrities have more of a right to spread their opinion to hold a podcast than others.
Host uses a number of “um’s” which is so annoying and please please get better audio when guests are being interviewed! The last one about Sex and the City was like listening to a guest sitting and talking through a muffled paper bag.So hard on the ears to want to keep listening.

excellent show, incredibly smart hosts

If they really wanted to podcast like it’s 1999, they would’ve recorded using Radio Shack microphones on cassette, but that’s beside the point. This is a quality film analysis podcast that also takes into account the time and place these movies came out. So many great episodes, it’s hard to pick a favorite. I really just enjoy the hosts both here and on other podcasts as well. I don’t alway agree with their takes but at the same time, I never get annoyed or irked. It’s just a solid, consistent movie podcast that I look forward to. Subscribe, especially if you’re curious about that year in film and you should be!

Too Much Trump

Just started listening and of the episodes I’ve binged, I’ve really enjoyed them with the exception of the part of each and every episode that the hosts turn into an explanation of how the media in question predicted the Trump presidency. Even though I agree with the hosts’ politics, these conversations come off as obsessive and cartoonish and really take away from the overall conversation. Sometimes simply talking about entertainment suffices without wedging personal paranoias in.
