Great podcast for the novice Hoosier fan

This podcast has a lot of different guests from the student media department at IU. A lot of the interviews are from people who are finding their voice and trying to get on-air experience. They also tend to be journalists who are still learning a lot of the nuance of the sport.
So, with that being said, this podcast is great for younger fans, or maybe IU students who want to learn about the team but aren’t Basketballheads, or maybe alumni who just want to casually keep their finger on the pulse of the program. There is a lot of wholesomeness and heart in this podcast. If you’re looking for wonky or hard-hitting Basketball analysis then there are probably a couple other IU basketball podcasts that would be up your alley.

Boring

Lacks excitement or enthusiasm for a fan base that craves it. Extremely conservative questions and answers that rarely push the guests or host to give real insight or opinion. For a team that some say has the most passionate fans, the host seems content to be safely in their comfort zone. Audio issues with voice echo. 3 ads per 30 minutes If you are looking for a IU basketball podcast that simple regurgitates information from Ken Pom and Torvik this is for you. You do not have to worry about any “Hot Takes” because they rarely give any takes other than basic roster updates and the occasional “it’s possible they win or lose” Gives off the vibe of simply providing an additional source of revenue for the website as opposed to a fun informative conversation about Indiana basketball. Recommendations 1. Be less monotone 2. Ask one question at a time so the guest and listener can follow slinger better. 3. Get outside comfort zone, Give real thoughts on lineup changes, recruits you want over others, teams that are 4. Actually fun Segments, like “insider news of the week, comparing players in different generation, best place to watch a game” Hosts seem content with taking advantage of hungry fan base by doing bare minimum. Other options to recommend would be 247 or assembly call or even Hoosier hysterics. Best of luck
