Porch Beers - The College Drop(IN)

Trogonomics

On this episode of Porch Beers, Brett asks Dr. Trogdon about preparing for his kids to go to college. Saving for tuition, planning on who pays for what, and why is college so darn expensive these days... spoiler alert, it's the gyms!

Trog breaks down what he and his partner have been thinking about and planning for on behalf of their children, how he thinks about the investment he's making in his kids, and what vehicles he's been thinking about to use for his savings plan.

Along the way, Trog and Brett recount a few stories from their days at Baylor University, as well as some of the fears and unknowns around financial planning for college.

Porch Beers is a series of casual episodes, where Brett asks Trog a question cold, that he hasn't heard prior to the conversation. Like most conversations they have over a beverage, Trog doesn't know what will be asked of him at the time.  His vast expertise of finance and economic theory is put to the test when he's asked for advice or clarity on the topics discussed.  In today's episode we stick to one specific, financial topic: Inflation.
