Hunter Biden
Rather than just sticking to the facts of the case, Martine and the reporter presented a very empathetic view of Hunter Biden. Ironically, we enable the addict if we show leeway for unacceptable even illegal behavior. In his case, adultery, wild spending, lack of child support, denying he fathered another child - the list goes on… Addiction deprives society of so many talented people. Jill and Joe Biden could have given so much to the county by being role models for loving but not coddling their son. There’s still time to do that.
Amateurish Political Coverage
You would think a Washington based news organization would have great political coverage. It’s just the opposite. I would say it’s childish, but I know children that have more insight into the election then these jokers. They’re like that one kid in school that everyone hates because they go around stirring up trouble by saying this person said this about you (which they didn’t), then immediately running back to the original person saying something even more ridiculous. You know, the kind that are pregnant by high school.
They start each issue with absurd MAGA talking points, let themselves be distracted by nonsense, and think that somehow election should be decided gossip girl style. Not one bit of substance is ever discussed. They are literally the reason we are going to have a fascist back in the WH, but can’t seem to figure why everyone tells them that. Well maybe if you weren’t so bubble headed and vacuous you would know.
The rest of the stories are okay at best, but I’ve decided that as long as they are working for the Trump campaign for free again, it’s time to say goodbye.
Long decline
Not all, but most of the coverage discussing the Israeli-Hamas war is missing a LOT. Tittles of stories can also be obnoxiously written to slant the story. It’s not about feelings, it’s about facts. Tell the story of the facts. While Israel warrants criticism, for example, for large civilian casualties, please involve Hamas in the story. Zero discussion that Hamas is still firing rockets at Israel, Hamas still has hostage, Hamas is still embedding itself within civilians and political organizations, Hams is still saying, right now, they would commit another October 7 all over again . The destruction of Israel is still in their constitution. The rise of anti-Semitism isrampant, with the word “Jewish” being hidden behind the word “Zionist“. Playing a soft, sad keyboard, when discussing the “war on Gaza”, without mentioning Hamas, or their continued use of weaponry is poor, unprofessional journalism. This slants the narrative by failing to discuss what Hamas is, and how they view Israel… how about a story on Hamas. Nothing. Not one story, and little to no narrative discussing Hamas. Used to be a big fan of this podcast. I’m infuriated. The war IS horrible. Civilian deaths ARE horrible. DISCUSS HAMAS… involve them in the story…
