This Film is Lit
On _This Film is Lit_ we finally settle the score on one simple question… Is the book really better than the movie? Bryan has a film degree. He watches the movie but doesn't read the book. Katie has two English degrees, so she does things the right way and reads the book before we watch the movie. Prepare to be wowed by our expertise and charm as we dissect all of your favorite film adaptations and decide whether the silver-screen or the written word did it better. Turn it up, settle in, and get ready for spoilers because This Film is Lit.
There was a movie????

This is the pod that answers the question, which was better the book or the film? An impossible question as it is apples to oranges; not the same fruit at all. But it is the journey, not the destination that matters. It's like being in the back seat of your married friends' car and eavesdropping on their highway games and conversation about the movie they saw last night, while they think you're asleep.

Was tolerable until you had to introduce your politics into it.
Books don’t make the best movies, but sometimes they do!

I have started getting into this podcast lately due to Bryan’s YouTube show on “Good Bad/Bad Bad.” I have to say Bryan and Katie have a lot of fun with this podcast, especially when they re-examine old teen books they kinda, sorta liked (I.e. Twilight). My fav episode has to be The Clique, and you can clearly hear the drinks they are consuming to try and rationalize having to do this movie. Either way, I hope someday they do Fahrenheit 451 or maybe something crazier.
Let her speak

If you want to listen to a stubborn man, plow over an intelligent woman. This is for you. Stop cutting Katie off and reiterating what she says. It’s not helpful. She has an important view, and no one wants to listen to you ramble.
