To hear the gears turning. To hear what the determination was and what determination was behind it. For better and worse, what an interesting lens in a fly’s eye.

All of these things were really before I was old enough to understand. Fantastic to hear these personal accounts from the president’s. Keep up the great work.

I listen, absolutely riveted, to these priceless recordings. I have just listened to the Lady Bird Johnson recordings and her relating of the events from November 22 1963. Her words were so elegant , almost poetic in describing the horrors she witnessed. I was in the 9th grade on that horrific day. It changed how I felt about the world forever . September 11 triggered a kind of PTSD response in me …Nov 22 came flooding back like the waters of a breached levee…. Drowning the mind in a benumbed incredulity.

This is fascinating. It is presented with great context so that I can understand what is going on although I don’t know a lot about the LBJ presidency.
