Sound mixing and pacing is very poor. Acting is hit or miss, miss, miss. If there truly is an award winning story under the childish direction, it is obscured by the greater flaws in the work. Two stars because i really do want a good haunted house story. This aint it. Maybe hire an editor. And sound tech. And get some coaching for the actors. Or at least provide them equipment that can standardize the quality of audio recorded. Maybe ... then script will shine out. Until then the looped sfx (every character has the exact same cough, for example. An old man or a young wife, identical sound.) are just as grating as the agonizingly wholesome fakey couple of protags.
