In this 10th and final post-season special edition, we end with a subject that will also carry into season 7.

Professor John Gibbs (The Spinoza Triad) returns to engage in another exciting conversation as we attempt to contrast the differences between policing in the UK and here in the States.

We will discuss the history of our policing system, which was proceeded by England’s Anglo-Saxon Common Law. What we discussed and what you will learn may or may not “shock” you.

In this 2nd of a double-header weekend, we chop it up with author, historian, independent scholar, and social activist Deirdre Sinnott.

She is a historical consultant and researcher for the Ft. Stanwix Underground Railroad History Project, funded by the National Parks Service.

Her book “The Third Mrs. Galway” retells the story of Helen Galway, who discovers a secret: two runaway slaves are hiding in the shack behind her husband’s house. It is a riveting story and an essential read for everyone.

This monumental conversation takes us from the early days of slavery from her book all the way to our present situation regarding “Affirmative Action” and the social injustices being ignored by our SCOTUS.

This special edition will be the first of its kind. We will briefly run down some of the main current events with help from videos produced by our new favorite GenZ activist, Dash Dobrofsky of the GenZ Perspective website and podcast.

Then, we’ll review the recently released Netflix film “The Strays.” This film left us from speechlessness to abject anger. However, after unpacking all the obvious social and cultural “stuff,” we (somewhat) understand what the filmmaker may have been trying to say (and perhaps you will, too).
