    If you are an athlete who struggles with mental health this episode is for you. As a current student-athlete I wanted to dedicate two episodes on how sports can impact an individuals mental health, both positively and negatively. Mental health is a vital part in our lives, and it's not talked about enough especially in athletes. A huge contributor to performing well is having a strong mind. Having poor mental health as an athlete can affect your performance and increase the risk of a physical injury.     As authentic as she can be talking into a microphone, this week, Anna is talking about being your true self. How hard can that be, right? Society has taught us that we need to fit in to be liked. Seeking approval from our peers has come naturally to us as humans in this generation, especially through social media. These pressures in life are just that, nothing more. You don't have to change who you are to be accepted by others. In fact, you become the person people look up to when you carry that confidence and pride in being who you are. Your personality is authentic and so are your imperfections, embrace it.
