    On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett opens up the show previewing the first round of the NFL draft, but also touches in on the Mariners and their win last night. He has also declared himself the President of the Ben Williamson fan club.  After touching in on the M’s, Puck welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, who’s in Los Angeles getting ready to anchor the networks draft coverage.  Mike goes over the top rumors swirling right now leading up to the draft.  How far will Sheduer Sanders fall?  Is there a chance that another quarterback besides Cam Ward gets selected before Sanders?  Would the Seahawks trade down and select Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe?  There have been rumors circulating that the Seahawks could be shopping or listening to offers from Ken Walker?  As the draft starts what is the future of both Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rogers? The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar joins Puck to breakdown what he thinks the Seahawks will do in the first round.  Mike has a feeling that the pick at 18 may well be a defensive player. Dugar also reacts to the rumors circulating that the Seahawks could potentially be listening to offers for Ken Walker.  Mike does not have a very good opinion on this years quarterbacks class and also shares his thoughts on the idea of Seattle taking Jalen Milroe out of Alabama.  Puck then welcomes Danny Kelly from The Ringer and Danny goes over his latest mock draft.  Plus, gives his thoughts on what he thinks Seattle does at 18 and he is also looking forward to the entertainment value of watching Sheduer Sanders slide in the first round.  Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”   Puck states that this years draft may be, if not, the most important draft for John Schneider.  The offensive line has been an issue for a decade and is he the one to fix it?     On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Ryan Divish right at the top of the show to talk Mariners baseball as Jim Moore is off on Wednesday because he’s in Pullman celebrating his twin boys 21st birthday.  Divish and Puck discuss the state of the M’s and are joined by Tim Booth of the Seattle Times, who is in Boston covering the Mariners on their current road trip.  They discuss the struggles of the Mariners starters, Bryce Miller specifically.  They also touch in on the struggles of the offense with runners in scoring position and they discuss their current strikeout rate. Is it better?  Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com joins the show for his weekly visit to preview the first round of the NFL draft and what will Seattle do at # 18?  Rob feels the Seahawks will go with Grey Zabel, the offensive lineman out of North Dakota State.  Rob also has a gut feeling about what Seattle may do in the second round…will they make a surprise pick and select Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe?     On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett kicks off the show discussing the unbelievable playoff games in the NHL and NBA that took place on Monday and how it doesn’t matter which sport it is, the playoff atmosphere always delivers and it delivered once again.  Puck than welcomes John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com to discuss breaking news reported by John himself on the 2025 Pac-12 TV deal involving Washington State and Oregon State. An official announcement will happen on Wednesday and a source confirmed to John that the home games will appear on the CW Network and the start times for those games will be released as well. John says to expect to see one or two big linear networks be a part of the ’25 deal and beyond.  What’s the future of expansion and will it just include UNLV?  Puck and John switch gears to a tragic story that John wrote about involving the Umpqua Community College softball team.  It’s a beautifully written piece involving enormous heartbreak.   John also dishes on the latest with MLB expansion and relocation to Portland as the city and state has cleared a major hurdle for building a ballpark.  Mike Sando from The Athletic checks in to preview the upcoming NFL draft, pressure on John Schneider, lackluster QB class and what will Seattle do with their 18th pick.  Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck?!”  Big changes coming to high school sports and one change that needs to happen.  (0:00) Puck on the NBA and NHL playoffs  (10:37) John Canzano,  JohnCanzano.com  (1:09:33) Mike Sando, The Athletic  (1:31:36) “Hey, What the Puck!?”

Puck has shorter shows this week because his baseball obsessed kid is in a baseball camp so he has to leave early to pick him up.  Puck jumps right into his Mariners talk with Divish.    MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins Puck for his weekly visit to talk all things Mariners.  Divish, currently on a sabbatical from the paper is back home in Havre, Montana coaching his stepsons baseball team and working at his buddies furniture store. Can anyone imagine Divish selling furniture??   Divish and Puck open up the show talking about Luis Castillo and they wonder if anything is wrong with him?   They also touch in on the health concerns with Bryce Miller, plus the debut of Ben Williamson, Dan Wilson’s bullpen use, Gregory Santos and Divish’s sales pitch on selling furniture.  Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, pays a visit to preview the NFL Draft which is eight days away.  Has anything changed on his front of what he wants or what he’s hearing?  Rob has a trade for Seattle and they actually move up!     On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett opens up the show talking briefly about the Mariners and there three city roadtrip that starts tonight.  Puck also revisits the Luis Castillo trade since the right hander is facing his former team for the first time.  The Castillo trade has been an absolute steal for Seattle and the best move Jerry Dipoto has made.  Jim Duquette, MLB Network Radio joins Puck for his weekly visit and they start off chatting about the Luis Castillo/Reds trade and how much it has benefited Seattle.  They also discuss the watered down AL West, the Dodgers and the NL West, the best trade he ever made as a GM and the trade he’d like back.  Also, the atmosphere at Petco Park and watching the Padres play is unlike anything in baseball.  Also, when is it too early to start trade discussions with other teams and how big of a target will Luis Robert Jr. be for the White Sox? Danny Kelly, The Ringer stops by to discuss the NFL Draft for his weekly discussion.  Danny gives his Top Ten Mock Draft and also makes a pick at # 18 for the Seahawks.  Does Danny have a surprise for Sheduer Sanders?  Where does Ashton Jeanty go and please say for the love of god he has the Seahawks taking an offensive lineman at #18!?  Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  The Mariners are 8-8 and are playing in a bad division.
