The internet's first -- and inarguably best -- Colorado Rockies podcast. Ever. In the history of humanity.
Episode 200 | December 21, 2020: COMMERCIALS ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE!
It's the mooooooost wonderful [episoooooooooode] of the yeeeeeeeeear!
Seriously, we were not aware until 2020 how much people absolutely love when we rag on commercials, but it has been one of our greatest lessons learned in this flaming garbage heap of a year. So with that, we bring you our most grandiose episode of the worst year in our collective memory! This year, we are roasting commercials up and down the capitalist spectrum from RuPaul making your ears bleed with a holiday rap about pajamas that barely rhymes to Jeep attempting to sell Wranglers on the back of the pandemic to Snoop Dogg lecturing you about being on your phone too much.
It's all here! Plus it was the 200th episode of this bizarre show, and we don't talk about the Rockies hardly at ALL which makes this the most entertaining episode of 2020!
It's the annual holiday commercial dragging episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast! Roast it over an open fire!
Episode 199 | October 15, 2020: Wait, They Didn't Finish in Last Place?
The title of this episode was literally a quote from one of us when we hopped on our call to start recording, so that gives you an idea of how invested all of us were toward the end of The Thing That Was the 2020 Rockies season. On this week's episode of the PDP, we look back on the dumpster fire things turned into after the 11-3 start. Where do the Rockies go from here? Why will Jeff Bridich remain employed? What happens with Nolan Arenado? What (if any) reasons exist to be optimistic heading toward 2021?
Plus we field your #AskPDP questions on everything we could which isn't a lot because basically every question submitted was some variant of, "How does Jeff Bridich still have a job?" which, you know. Only so many ways to answer that one.
All that and more are here on this week's episode of the PDP! Wear a mask and wash your hands and keep your distance because we're still in a pandemic!
Episode 198 | September 17, 2020: Searching For Mike Nikorak
Former Rockies first-round pick Mike Nikorak joins the show to talk about his ups and downs over five years in pro ball including Tommy John surgery, the rigors of adapting to life in the minors, what his 2020 has been like with no MiLB season, and much more.
Plus, Tyler and Anthony dive into your #AskPDP queries touching on everything from why we do this to ourselves with following the Rockies to whether or not you should feel bad for thinking they should trade Nolan to uniform redesign thoughts, and more.
All that coming your way on this week's episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast! Wear a mask and wash your hands, you weirdos!
Episode 197 | August 27, 2020: Not Sticking to Sports; You Can Eat Our Shorts
This week featured what felt like a watershed moment in American professional sports with wildcat strikes popping up in the NBA and Major League Baseball to protest police brutality and social injustice. The Rockies, despite Matt Kemp choosing to sit in solidarity with members of the Black community and fellow professional athletes, decided to play on Wednesday night in Phoenix. We'll discuss that situation with the information we have as of the next day.
Sticking to sports is over. Get used to it.
Episode 196 | Aug. 6, 2020: It's Still Happening!
Another week into the Major League Baseball season, and your, my, and our Colorado Rockies are still playing really good ball and still in first place! This week on the Purple Dinosaur Podcast, we discuss the Rockies' torrid start to the season on the mound including just how good this starting pitching staff has been. Plus, Trevor Story, Charlie Blackmon, and a whole lot of other dudes are slapping the heck out of the ball. We'll dive into the Rockies' ability to get big hits in key spots and how that's sparked their scorching start.
It's the 196th episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast! Wear a mask and wash your hands!
Episode 195 | July 31, 2020: They're On Fire (Not Literally, Thankfully)
The first week (? week-ish?) of the 2020 Major League Baseball season is in the books, and your, my, and our Colorado Rockies are 4-1 after their first road trip. While the offense has been adequate, the pitching staff has been lights out from steady starting performances to absolutely dominant work out of the bullpen.
On this week's episode of the PDP, we look into some of the contributing factors behind the Rockies' hot start including some of the best stories in baseball (see: Bard, Daniel). Plus we dissect what the shortened schedule and upcoming lengthy homestands could mean for the Rockies as they attempt to continue their strong open to the campaign.
Also there's some other stuff in there about the movie "Rear Window" and we give Tyler Q's cat a shoutout for some reason.
All that and more in this week's episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast! Wear a dang mask and wash your dang hands and keep your dang distance!

2 Dinosaur paws up
Such a great podcast. You guys are awesome
This one is a hum-Dinger!
I came for the idea of a purple dinosaur themed podcast and was surprised to hear a lot of good baseball takes and an occasional political discourse.
The hosts are two weirdos stumbling their way through an entertaining hour of baseball themed talking. If you love a sub-par baseball team, you’ll love this sub-par podcast.
Good Dudes, Good Show
I like these dudes & I like this show.
