Quick Takes With Tom & Jake

I can’t stop listening. I’ve ran through all of these episodes way too many times and I just keep repeating them. I feel like I’ve been looking for a pod like this for a while with not much success. I like the generalized conversations that apply to many different shooting situations. It all just feels very relatable. Would love episodes to be put out more frequently but I understand everybody is working and very busy and that’s not always a reality. would love an episode dedicated to steadicam! I’ve never touched a steadicam in my life let alone even been around one but it’s a very appealing concept to me and I would be very invested in an episode dedicated to that. more pertinent to my own work, I would also really love to hear an episode dedicated to editing including workflow, tips, efficiency, etc.

I’ve recently discovered these guys and have become a much bigger fan now listening to the ups and downs and what they’ve learned on their journey. Listening to them talk about movies that they like and don’t like or shaped them is super great. I love hearing you guys talk about movies just as fans, the Batman vs Dark Knight episode was awesome. I’d like to see an episode about filmmakers starting their own llc vs working for an agency vs working on their own as contractors. The digital space still seems to be the Wild West in terms of the type of work to pursue and would like to see how you guys perceive of the pros and cons.

Just listed to all 15 of these while I’ve been working my 8-5. Gave me a new perspective and motivated me to keep going and just put out the work I enjoy making.
