    Learned Racism

Discriminatory and racial behavior may be learned in children as young as three years old, according to Mahzarin Banaji (a psychologist, brain researcher, and racism and physical prejudice expert from Harvard University).  Children are quick to demonstrate racist behavior and form connectivity between negative biases following exposure to episodes of discrimination.

    Trump A Racist

    Trump A Racist

Trump’s actual record, however, tells a very different story. On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly made explicitly racist and otherwise bigoted remarks, from calling Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists, to proposing a ban on all Muslims entering the US, to suggesting a judge should recuse himself from a case solely because of the judge’s Mexican heritage. The trend has continued into his presidency. From stereotyping a Black reporter to pandering to white supremacists after they held a violent rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, to making a joke about the Trail of Tears, Trump hasn’t stopped with racist acts after his 2016 election. Most recently, Trump has called the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus the “Chinese virus” and “Kung flu” — racist terms that tap into the kind of xenophobia that he latched onto during his 2016 presidential campaign; Trump’s own adviser, Kellyanne Conway, previously called “Kung flu” a “highly offensive” term. And Trump insinuated that Sen. Kamala Harris, who’s Black, “doesn’t meet the requirements” to run for vice president — a repeat of the birther conspiracy theory that he perpetuated about former President Barack Obama.

    Systemic White Privilege

    Systemic White Privilege

White privilege, or white skin privilege, is the societal privilege that benefits white people over non-white people in some societies, particularly if they are otherwise under the same social, political, or economic circumstances. It is rooted economically, educationally, culturally historically as well as socially.

People are scared of change

Thank you for this podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing! Your platform is making a difference. Exposure and awareness is a catalyst for change.
As a white person who has lived a life free from suppression and racism, it’s easy to continue to go about life and not take the time to understand the racist issues that are woven into the American society. No one wants to be labeled racist but at they same time they don’t push to make a change when things are comfortable for them. People aren’t held accountable for racism because the roots of the system are “okay” with it. Until the majority of people who benefit from white privilege understand this is a serious issue; until they start listening to those being targeted with open minds and hearts; until they hold themselves accountable to understand racism and how it is ruining our country, the fight to extinguish racism is going to be an uphill battle. I do have hope for the future, that the younger generations will get closer and closer to making a change… but it takes podcast like this to spread the message today.

White Privilege

The thought that some people believe in this thing in their heads truly shows the ignorance of hate. It is a testament of how removed one has to be from the inner workings of individuals lives. We go to these statistical numbers frequently to make examples and provide our reasons but the data of those statistics isn’t based upon any solid complete information. Constantly society states that white people are the majority of the US but in what capacity? In which states? We aren’t we are in the minority and the fact that there is even a podcast or subs or books showing false or hatred towards that false minority speaks volumes to whom really holds the privileges. Privileges differ individually and in some groups as well, and are only in play under certain circumstances and variables. Economical status have higher privileges and Hollywood is full of blacks right now some wealthier than our last president, we had a black family in the highest seat of this country but wanted to talk about privilege? It does not apply today not in the last 50-70 years. Anyone pushing it is a bigot with a plot.

I just listened to the episode are you racist or not. Just spewing nonsense lies bold faced ones. This is the most ridiculous nonsense. Scary that people actually think like this guy

Telling it like it is

Thank you for speaking the truth without a bunch of excuses.
Something’s got to change. As a white man I am doing things, but they aren’t enough. I feel encouraged to keep on trying. Thank you!
