Rainbow Puppy Science Lab Airwave Media

Antarctica, the coldest place on Earth, is a land of extremes and a hub for scientific research. It is considered a desert due to its minimal precipitation, yet it holds 70% of the world's freshwater frozen within its massive ice sheet. Despite its harsh conditions, Antarctica supports diverse wildlife, including penguins, seals, and even unique microorganisms in its subglacial lakes. Scientists study its ice cores to understand past climate patterns. Additionally, Antarctica's clear skies make it an ideal location for astrophysics research. The continent is governed by the Antarctic Treaty, which prohibits military activity and promotes international cooperation for scientific exploration.

We researched Australia and learned about some of the odd and interesting animals that call it home. We also learned about Aboriginal art traditions dating back tens of thousands of years.
