"Children are born persons." Charlotte Mason
Jennifer has been parenting since the 90s, and she and Scott's research and parenting styles have run the gamut over their 7 children and three decades. The one thing consistent from the early days of strict parenting to more permissive parenting is to focus on building character and connection. One thing that was consistent across all those years and styles of parenting. It was their intense love for their children and their enjoyment of each one as a person.
The one thing they learned over all those years is that there is no formula for parenting. Still, there is so much we can learn and be encouraged in.
Amy Nyvall, a coach with Connected Families, joins Jennifer Pepito to talk about parenting through connection and attunement without sacrificing standards. This is one of our longer podcasts because the topic and conversation were just that good. We hope you enjoy episode 111 and walk away with more ideas to connect with your children this season.
