I love being able to listen to the book, with some personal input and laughs. I am constantly listening in the car and while cleaning. A follower for life!

I’m a late-comer to the show, but working through the back log of episodes has provided countless hours of entertainment. Whether it’s a ratchet mess or a literary best, Derik brings a vibrancy to each and every work he reads with incredible diction and voice. The running commentary during each episodes feels like you’re reading right along. Whether he’s pointing out the (often egregious) typos of the Cartel series, or investigating deeper life lessons from the SoCal classic Bobby Z, he’s bringing such a great perspective. I also personally enjoyed the guests during the Coldest Winter Ever episodes examining more social context as well. And to Derik, I want to thank you so much for bringing the written word to life.
