Wine and Gold Talk Podcast

I really enjoy Chris’ analysis and POV, but this podcast has clearly been struggling to find an adequate co-host for him. Hayden struggled to facilitate interesting conversation and now Ethan seems under-qualified and his cadence is terrible. Jimmy was great when filling in for Ethan — keep him on full time!

Fedor is one of very few people who can give good Cavs insight, but it’s become so plainly a habit for him to have an incompetent co-host that I’m starting to wonder if he deliberately prefers it this way, so that he can seem smarter. That’s the only explanation I could come up with for having Hayden and now Ethan co-host. They are truly the two least qualified people I’ve ever heard host a podcast, and that’s saying something! I want to keep up on the Cavs, but this is an embarrassing listen.

Chris provides some if the best insight in the NBA, period. Ethan just is not good enough, showing flashes if insight but coming across as forced and inarticulate. What should be my favorite sports podcast is sometimes instead just hard to listen to.

Nice guys BUT this is High school level content and production. Ethan has no business hosting this show. He has to go back or simply go to communication school and the rest of the guests virtually shower the team with one compliment after another. The cavs will continue to be mediocre post Lebron if media pundits don’t have the temerity to speak the truth about this team. Cle is dying for a great cavs podcast!
