Resilience in Low-Income Children: Brain's Stochasticity Spurs Unique Adaptations | RC 52

Resilience in Low-Income Children: Brain's Stochasticity Spurs Unique Adaptations | RC 52

With empirical data, children from low socioeconomic environments adapt to tough situations in unique ways from higher randomness in the brain. The "adaptive stochasticity hypothesis" is a fancy way of saying that in life, different situations can lead to many different outcomes, and sometimes people adapt to tough situations in unique ways. It's all about how we deal with challenges and end up in various places.
Sofia Carozza, Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard Medical School deconstructs her team's recent paper on randomness and neurodevelopmental outcomes, and how neurodiversity and genomic differences from Ancestral trauma or intergenerational trauma held within our DMA could play a part in higher randomness in the brain.

UFOs Over Military Sites Trigger UAP Intentions Study Project of the US Atomic Warfare Complex | RC49

UFOs Over Military Sites Trigger UAP Intentions Study Project of the US Atomic Warfare Complex | RC49

Stories from veterans and active-duty soldiers, as well as government records, have documented UAP activity over military complexes and atomic weapons sites dating back to the early 1940s.
These reports can be found in sources such as Project Blue Book and have continued to be documented in various government agencies and task forces up to the present day. For instance, the Pentagon is investigating UFOs that possibly turned off nuclear warheads. The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) has recently published a two-part paper that delves into UAP activity and its potential connections with post-World War 2 nuclear warfare capabilities.
Larry Hancock, Former US Air Force Staff Sergeant Master Instructor, and SCU Board Member and Team Leader of the UAP Intentions Study Project, deconstructs his paper the “UAP Indications Analysis 1945-1975, United States Atomic Warfare Complex” and speaks to the UAP trends, intentions and patterns found with the 30 year time span. Japan's Decision to Release Radioactive Fukushima Wastewater into the Pacific: What You Should Know | RC48

Japan's Decision to Release Radioactive Fukushima Wastewater into the Pacific: What You Should Know | RC48

On August 24, Japan initiated the discharge of radioactive wastewater from the damaged Fukushima nuclear facility into the Pacific Ocean due to the nearing full capacity of storage tanks. This action has stirred controversy, leading China to swiftly impose a comprehensive ban on all aquatic imports from Japan. The accumulation of this waste issue has persisted since the Fukushima plant was hit by a tsunami in 2011. Jim Smith, Professor of Environmental Science in the School of the Environment, Geography and Geosciences at the University of Portsmouth joins Chrissy Newton to discuss the science and what we should know about the radioactive wastewater.

Fantastic podcast. Chrissy is a joy to listen to!

Cool topics, rough host

I listened to three episodes and had to stop. While I like the host’s voice quality and personality, they simply don’t speak well. Their phrasing is often awkward, using the wrong adverbs, confusing phrasing or just grammatically tortured in general. I give leeway on these things but she just goes way beyond what I’m willing to endure. They also say factually wrong things — like she recently described the Manhattan Project as the “late 40s, early 50s,” a full decade off!! Seriously? I’m sorry, but if you speak awkwardly and don’t even know when WWII happened, I can’t listen.

Terrific Content

Chrissy is such an inquisitive force. Her questions really inspire the podcast guests to respond with wonderfully detailed answers. What a great listen! Highly recommend this podcast.
