Rectal Evaluation and Treatment

Pelvic PT Rising

For many patients rectal evaluation and treatment is the "missing link" in their progress.  Yet the majority of patients never even have an evaluation, and many that do never have consistent treatment.  Why?

Often we're not comfortable as pelvic PTs with our rectal skills.  Most courses only discuss "obvious" cases - GI, colorectal, or male patients.

But these are often a small fraction of our patients; we should be looking for our pelvic pain, post-partum, or orthopedic patients in many cases!

We've been working on this Rectal: Evaluation & Treatment course for almost six months, wanting to make sure EVERY pelvic PT is comfortable integrating rectal treatment into their clinical practice.

In this 'sode we go through the origin of this course, how we can better integrate rectal evaluation and treatment and all the details!
