So Educational! My favorite show

Dr. Charlie and Nurse Lauren share their vast knowledge in such an easy to understand format. I have learned so much about all kinds of topics. They aren’t pushy or top heavy with what they share, they simply present the facts given by the data. Lauren’s training and experience as a nurse prior to her switch to a more wholistic viewpoint also plays into the information they share. She knows what it is like to listen to the “mainstream” and therefore is very forgiving in sharing with others who may also be in that stage of life and learning. You don’t know what you don’t know, until you know what you didn’t know is such a perfect summary to learning about health- and after listening to all the episodes I can say I now know a whole lot more and I feel more comfortable about each topic too.
love DC & Lauren!!!

forever a wealth of knowledge with these two! I always leave having learned so much and I'm so grateful for them sharing their knowledge with us.
Yikes?

I think everyone would agree that it’s important to not blatantly lie on a public platform and state opinion as fact. This was shocking, particularly on the subject of vaccines. She does a great job of sounding reputable by citing red herrings where she will reference “studies” that are poorly conducted with severe limitations, low powered, and observational at best. This is no form of evidence and really discredits her. There are risks with everything, including recommended immunizations - albeit benefit outweighs risk significantly in this case. All in all, it comes from a place of extreme privilege to spew lies in the name of “health” and “wellness.” Infectious diseases are still the #1 cause of death WORLDWIDE, including infant mortality, and we are lucky enough to live in a developed country with the infrastructure and resources that have been able to nearly eradicate these. Business and “big pharma” has nothing to do with practicing medicine, and if you equate the two, it’s clear you have no basis or right to speak on the subject. Real providers hate the business of healthcare, again, she is just not reputable. Diet, exercise, and non-pharmacological approaches are extremely important and effective - I will give her that. Almost laughable, however, honestly more shameful to call herself a nurse practitioner, but I think she knows that :)
Out of touch

I’ve learned some good information from the podcast and appreciate the education from these people, but they can be extremely out of touch sometimes and use terminology that your average lay person will absolutely not understand. Lauren seems sweet but she’s all over the place and disorganized when she speaks. She says people should take their own food to children’s birthday parties which is an absolutely ridiculous and rude piece of advice, unless you never want your kids to have friends again. These people seem to think everyone has millions of dollars just lying around to buy the copious amount of supplements and extremely fancy essential oils that they recommend, which are not at all cheap by the way. Overall, the podcast has some positive qualities but you should take everything they say with a very large grain of salt, unless you wanna be in debt forever from spending 100K on insanely expensive supplements and essential oils.
