C13Originals and Pulitzer Prize winner and best-selling author Jon Meacham, co-creators of the Webby Award-winning Best Podcast Series It Was Said and the acclaimed podcast Hope,Through History, join together again on a daily series that guides listeners through critical moments in our history. Every Monday through Friday, Meacham travels back to impactful events that occurred on that date in history—the birth of a visionary filmmaker, the debut of an iconic athlete, the discovery of a lifesaving cure, a triumphant legal victory. You’ll learn how that event shaped politics, art, culture, sports and science, and why it’s still relevant today.

Perfect Way to Start My Day
These brief, crisp, daily visits to historical events are the perfect way to start my day. I grab the dog, start our walk, and tune in to the great Jon Meacham. And most days, I’ll do additional research on the days subject when I return home. Please come back! This hiatus has gone on too long!
Great show, wish he would stop saying. meecham
Great show. Annoying how much mentions his names. Comes off as extremely arrogant. Otherwise, well done!
Mostly advertisements, bits of history
The podcast started out well-intentioned, even though the hosts arrogance always shined through the constant mentions of his own name. Nowadays, it’s mostly advertisements with bits of history. Lately, you can also see a departure from unbiased history towards leftist talking points. Sad.
