Great advice even for veteran RE investors/landlords

I've owned property for 20 years now as a self-managing investor/landlord, and have learned quite a bit over those 2 decades, but Steve and Eric at RentPrep.com have helped me in several areas in just the past few years since I came across them. From learning of the new changes in the housing laws to polishing up on the ways I managed my units. These guys are personable, fun to listen to and genuinely care about their listeners and customers. They are always willing to help out fellow RE investors and landlords. They bring a wealth of knowledge and resources to their podcasts/website to share with their listeners and customers.

Some good info but poor analysis

Want to love this podcast but I am frequently disappointed with the level of analysis. The recent episode titled “NYC Micro Apartments Exposed” was a recent glaring example. Microapartments are a legitimate development that attempt to address apartment shortages in high-density urban environments by creating livable, modular living spaces. The story that Rent Prep has under this headline is in no way about microapartments; it is about a landlord who illegally (and outrageously) subdivided an apartment into multiple sleeping spaces. These guys should know the difference but they just barrel through the story making no distinctions about the terminology used, making fun of “microapartments” along the way. As a result the podcast feels like clickbait or a humor podcast rather than an valuable resource for landlords.
