#21 A perspective on Crohn's disease with Adam Pizey

Rounding up my IBD mini-series, I chat with my old friend Pizey. Now Pizey has had his own individual journey with IBD. Whilst Crohn's and UC are separate entities, this episode seeks to show the similar diseases are experienced and dealt with in different ways. Individuals own personalities, their background, their severity of disease all play into an individuals overall experience of a chronic disease. Overall, Pizey's light-hearted and somewhat comedic approach recollecting his experience with Crohn's provides some key insights into the mentioned differences and allows for a more holistic understanding of how IBD can present.

The ups, the downs, the effects on his mental health and the continuing impact of the disease on his life. It was truly a privilege to have Lewis on the podcast and I think this conversation gives a unique perspective on not just IBD and UC but on chronic disease as a whole. Frankie
